Where does AI really sit within the education sector?
For those of you who enjoy reading a detailed discussion paper, here’s an insightful one that was released in January of this year: A learning curve? A landscape review of AI and education in the UK.
Compiled by the Ada Lovelace Institute and the Nuffield Foundation, this document investigates how generative AI can fit into the curriculum alongside existing EdTech solutions and programmes. As we know, AI’s release to the public in late 2022 has already had significant impact – both good and bad – and there is no going back, especially now the government has committed to significant AI development.
This discussion paper documents a year of intense research by the Ada Lovelace Institute and the Nuffield Foundation and aims to “bring greater clarity on the role of AI in schools, to support policy and educational experts to navigate these issues, and to highlight priorities for further research and policy.”
