A unique in-person opportunity to explore what the latest KCSIE updates mean in practice.
The Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance is issued at the start of each academic year – and you’ll be all-too aware that it’s an annual task for leaders to read through it, see what has changed and ensure that your school takes the necessary steps to implement the new requirements.
This year, however, there’s a unique opportunity to get up to speed in person at this KCSIE conference at NetSupport’s headquarters near Peterborough. This free, one-day event is designed to support Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs), senior leaders and safeguarding professionals, and aims to help bridge the gap between guidance and day-to-day safeguarding work.
Hear from the safeguarding experts
The conference features a range of speakers from across the safeguarding sector, including eSafety Adviser, Alan Mackenzie; Traci Gregory from SWGfL and representatives from the Internet Watch Foundation.
Delegates will also hear from the Creative Education Trust about the importance of the people behind the data, a safeguarding practitioner’s view from the Nova Education Trust, and a technical perspective of safeguarding from The King’s (The Cathedral) School.
Additionally, drawing on its role as a founding partner of the UK Safer Internet Centre, SWGfL will deliver a session titled ‘The Current State of Online Safety’, sharing current data, insights and emerging trends relevant to schools – and CPOMS will join as an exhibitor to talk to delegates about the practicalities of monitoring and safeguarding online.
Practical sessions
In addition to online safety, the programme will explore several key areas linked to KCSIE 2026.
Sessions will cover the growing role of AI in safeguarding, approaches to KCSIE compliance, and lived safeguarding experiences. There will also be a focus on practical strategies to support children in an increasingly digital environment, helping delegates translate the guidance into effective action.
