Share the pet love with us!

Love Your Pet Day is an annual celebration of the special bond between people and their pets in the USA (but has become popular beyond those borders too!). This year’s day takes place today, 20th February 2025.

The day is designed to highlight a few things:

The joy of pet ownership and what benefits animals bring into our lives
How pets contribute to our wellbeing
The responsibilities of pet ownership – raising awareness of best care practices to ensure their needs are met 1

3 ways to celebrate Love Your Pet Day

Understanding and awareness – Look at specific animal causes, charities or responsibilities of care. You could also share your top tips for supporting your pet’s needs, boost your knowledge of things like animal medical conditions etc.
Show your pet some love – take the time for some extra cuddles, go for a longer walk, give them some treats (in keeping with your pet’s own nutritional needs of course 😉) , maybe get them a new toy to enjoy
Share the joy with others – post on social media about the benefits of pet ownership and why you love your pet

Betty

This is Betty, our 3-year old Miniature Labradoodle. She has a gentle heart and is so full of affection. She loves being fussed and snoozing – on your lap preferably. Betty also has a very special role in the lovely school my husband and I work in, supporting children as the school therapy dog.
