It’s time for a long-overdue pet appreciation post – a new Pets’ Corner article. We’ve got lots of lovely pets to share with you – some new and some returning fur-iends to enjoy.

Sid

This is Sid. He is almost seventeen-years-old now. Sid has been a school dog since he was four months old and he’s been in four different schools. Claims to fame: he has been on a Royal Navy Lynx helicopter and been featured in several newspapers!

Jupiter

Jupiter is nearly 5 and joined our family as a kitten shortly after my daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. She was desperate for a support dog to help recognise when her blood sugar was low. The expense ruled this out, so we settled on a kitten instead! He can’t alert her to low blood sugar and he is often quite moody but we wouldn’t change him for the world.

Dougie

This is Dougie. He is a Double Doodle (Golden Doodle x Australian Doodle). He’s like a big bear in size but he is only 7-months-old.  He has puppy energy for days, and is at his happiest on the beach and in the sea.

Olive and Coco

Olive is a tortoiseshell grump who just loves eating and sleeping – she’s about 16 so we let her! Coco is a very pregnant 16-month old tabby, who is very lively and adventurous.

Mungo

Mungo looks cute but he is not to be trusted. He will sit on your work and steal your pretzels. Although he pretends to be shy, really he is a massive show off.

Max

Max is a 3 and a half year-old ragdoll-cross who loves causing chaos! His favourite things to do are: have lap cuddles, eat tuna Dreamies, climb in cardboard boxes and play hide and seek behind the bedsheets. He’s a happy home office worker – always sleeping in his own office chair from 9-5! He likes to keep up to date on the education sector by joining virtual calls and staring intently at the camera.

Belle and Bonnie

This is Bonnie (ears down) and Belle (ears up). They are 9-year-old terrier sisters. Despite being littermates, they have totally different looks and characters.

Summer

Summer is a middle-aged rescue cat whose hobbies include bird watching, blanket snuggling, lap cuddling, toy-chasing and treat-munching. Much admired by visitors for her neat and understated elegance.

Doodles is one of the first school dogs! 8-years-old and very cheeky. Star of the book Our Adventures with Doodles the Schnoodle A School Dog.

This is Alfie. He’s 13-years-old and such a sweet playful boy. He likes lots of cuddles and eats non-stop!

Gus and Winnie

Gus lives up to the name of a Golden Retriever, he is soft, gentle and loving. He’s accident prone (like his mum) and loves belly rubs! 100% will be your new best friend once pets have been given! If you don’t give them, he’ll put his head under your hand until you do. Winnie is the newest member of our family. A gorgeous Australian Shepherd (who looks like a Bernese). She is a cheeky, attention seeking, mud eating, hyperactive whirlwind – who we are so glad we saved from having to go to the pound.

Squeak

This is Squeak our very distinguished moustache cat. He’s a lovely 8-year-old (soon to be 9) moggy who has lived with us and his twin brother Bubble since they were kittens. He loves treats and curling up under blankets. He is also sometimes partial to destroying wallpaper and window seals!

Ren

This is Ren’s ‘Hi, why won’t you let me be on screen yet during the virtual meeting?’ face! This red miniature pinscher loves being on camera and is often a staple in the meetings of his pet parents, Victoria and Kourtney. Colleagues tend to ask where Ren is if they don’t see him on camera after a while!
