Rainbow
Sonic (Master alarm clock) and Rainbow (Chief of cuddles)
Sonic and Rainbow are 10 years old now, and we rescued them (or did they rescue us?!) 8 years ago. Despite being siblings, they couldn’t be more different, both in looks and in personality; Sonic is an adventure-cat who likes to go wandering, whilst Rainbow is a cuddly nester who loves nothing more than to sit with you (or more accurately on you) for as long as you can last.

Willow
Willow is a 1-year-old Cockapoo and belongs to Damien and Rhiannon. This photo of Willow (taken at 6-months-old) was after a visit to the groomers – she’s normally wet and muddy because she’s obsessed with being outside! She loves nothing more than to chew socks and tissues but is undergoing puppy classes to hopefully show her there’s more to life!!

Timmy and Blackberry
Timmy and Blackberry (BB)
We got Timmy from Cats Protection as a kitten; he’s very laid back and cool, very “yeah, whatever”. My wife found BB by the side of the road a couple of years later, again as a very young kitten; he was left behind from a Cat Protection area sweep of feral cats and they were happy for us to keep hold of him. Our daughters were much younger and wanted to name him Blackberry because he was pitch-black; he’s now more Guiness-coloured, and we all just call him BB. BB’s always been very nervous, and yet it’s always him that sits on your lap and wants attention.

LunaBear
This is LunaBear, my cross-eyed, silly fluff of a Himalayan. He has strabismus, which is a fairly common trait for Siamese and Himalayan cats. LunaBear was rescued off the streets in 2016 as a kitten, at probably no more than 5 weeks old, and was the tiniest little boy who loved to hop everywhere instead of run. He’s a clumsy jumper and not very good at catching that persistent red laser light, but he is always ready to try his best! He is super sweet, extremely patient and very stubborn.

This is Douglas. He’s always been a needy, loud and chatty cat, and now at 18 he’s become a grumpy old one too! He’s a little deaf, gets lost and is often confused, so spends most of his time sleeping somewhere warm. But most of all he likes a lap to snuggle up on!

Alfie and Coco
Alfie and his sister Coco looking adorable in a sea of flowers. They play constantly when they’re together. Alfie is mine. He’s cuddly, inquisitive and stares at me constantly – literally whatever I’m doing, he’s watching me – and always wants a cuddle.

Myrtle
This is Myrtle, master of ‘catmouflage’. She got her name after she cried for 3 solid hours on her first journey home (Moaning Myrtle ). She is 8 years old, has no teeth, and is very aloof. She likes to camouflage in the garden and try to catch birds and she would rather drink from puddles than from a water bowl.
