Ren – a very good dog
Dear Santa Paws, Ren would like you to know that he has been very good this year… just in case you weren’t sure. We’d also like to back up Ren on this statement: a very, very good boy indeed.

Buster – my purr-ecious
Buster heard there’s meant to be presents under the tree at Christmas time. He couldn’t find any but he thinks he’d make a pretty great gift. He’s certainly our editor’s purr-fect gift.

Willow – part-time elf
Willow has taken on a part-time job this Christmas as one of Santa Paws’s elves. She’s such a hard worker, already being her mum’s office assistant, so we think she’s perfect for the role!

Cyrus – in awe
Cyrus thinks these Christmas tree things are pretty spectacular – he could just stare at them all day. Wonders why we can’t have them all year round. He is making some valid points.

Jerry – the dapper
Well, doesn’t Jerry look very dapper in his Santa jacket? A kind friend made it for him, so it’s tailored to the perfect fit! However, I’m not sure that Jerry is as impressed as we are – he asked if he could just have a festive collar instead. He thinks the jacket might hinder his very im-paw-tent daily duties (zooomies, walkies, naps, pets, eating…).

Marlow – the innocent one
Despite the baseless rumours you may have heard, Marlow is not waiting for you to turn around so he can eat the Christmas tree. He has no idea why such a story is spreading, especially as everyone knows his favourite snack is actually toast anyway… We stand by your innocence claim, Marlow. We see no evidence to the contrary.

Timo – or maybe it’s Rudolph?
Timo is sporting his favourite Rudolph Christmas jumper but we think it suits him so well, we’re wondering if maybe he’s working on a disguise. We could almost believe he was a reindeer, especially if we squint a bit.

Bella – ready for snuggles
Bella has got her favourite Christmas PJs on, so she’s cosy and warm and ready to snuggle up. She’s thinking maybe she and her humans can watch a little Christmas film, hopefully with some snacks. Bella, can we come join you for a sleepover?

Barney – Santa 2.0
After visiting Sanata with his brother, Wilson, Barney thinks he has found his calling in life – Santa’s understudy! He’s ready to lend a helping paw whenever Santa needs him. Even has his work uniform ready. We believe in you, Barney!

Cosy Kitty – purrfect tree ornament
Cosy Kitty has decided to make the Christmas tree his perching spot. Thinks the green really brings out his eyes and that he adds some glamour to the tree’s overall aesthetic. We quite agree.

Goose – the winter pup
Do you want to build a snowman? How about a snow dog? I think Goose could give you a hand, as long as you have a treat to give him as payment. I mean, just look at those puppy dog eyes – how could you not give in to that little face!

Who doesn’t love a game at Christmas? We present to you ‘spot the cat’! Can you see the adventurous feline who just loves climbing trees? Thinks this indoor one is the best gift ever and isn’t sure why she keeps getting told off for just making the most of it! Perhaps the humans are just jealous of your mad climbing skills, Tabitha.

Gus – weather reporter
News just in from Gus over in Canada: it’s snowy; very snowy. For any dog who hasn’t experienced this phenomenon, it’s cold wet stuff – fun, but you get chilly quick. He recommends taking a quick zoomie in it, then cosying up inside by the tree (wearing your favourite Christmas accessory = optional). Can we join you please, Gus?!

Rainbow and Sonic – cosy for Christmas
Rainbow and Sonic think Christmas is the purrfect time for cosying up. Rainbow thinks her human’s lap makes a great comfy spot to keep warm, while Sonic prefers to nestle himself under the tree (hopefully you can just about make him out!). We think both spots are excellent choices but that any spot could be cosy if these cuddly cuties are in it.

Tia would like to know what you think of her new festive headband. Does it make her snoot look more boopable? We’d say most definitely. Perhaps there’s a model career in this for her. Very demure, very cutesey.

Tilly – unimpressed
Tilly is not impressed. Firstly, she did not want to wear a Christmas jumper; secondly, she did not agree to have her photo taken. She would like to advise Santa Paws to put her humans on the naughty list this year and to bring her extra treats for putting up with such nonsense. We think she looks adorable even while sulking though! Can we be on the nice list please, Tilly?
