Sponsor Advertorial

Don’t miss this chance to boost your CPD and hear the experts’ presentations from this KCSIE safeguarding event.

“A brilliant session, really informative and excellent presentations“ was just one of the comments from delegates who attended the Keeping Children Safe in Education conference at NetSupport (#RISEEduMag’s sponsor) on 8th October – and the good news is that now you can share in it too!

The in-person event brought DSLs and safeguarding staff together to discuss the new KCSIE guidance for 2026, with the aim of bridging the gap between the recommendations and the day-to-day safeguarding work going on in schools.

Hear from the safeguarding experts

Delegates had the chance to hear presentations from experts and partners who work in safeguarding every day. They could also chat to solutions providers such as CPOMS (secure safeguarding software schools use to record, review and manage concerns, incidents, actions and follow-up information about learners.) and classroom.cloud, which contains a comprehensive safeguarding module that operates in line with KCSIE to help schools provide a safe online environment.

The speakers on the day included eSafety Adviser, Alan Mackenzie; Traci Gregory from South West Grid for Learning; Tom Dyson from the Internet Watch Foundation, Andy Baldock from The King’s (The Cathedral) School, NetSupport’s Mark Anderson, and Alex Dixon from Nova Education Trust.

Their sessions covered topics such as the growing role of AI in safeguarding, statistics and trends in AI-generated CSAM imagery, approaches to KCSIE compliance, and examples of lived safeguarding experiences in schools and trusts.

It was great to hear how others approach their safeguarding – and there were plenty of useful nuggets of information to take away from the day, with attendees noting that they had learned lots more about the growing safeguarding threats around AI, the importance of reviewing safeguarding constantly, and about the Report Remove service.

You can watch back the sessions too – free!

Whether you are a DSL, a school or IT leader, or part of a wider safeguarding team, the session recordings will provide you with many useful tips to help inform the safeguarding practice in your school.

NetSupport has kindly made the recordings freely available to watch back for everyone to share in the learning from the conference, so…
